The Spirituality of Alchemy and Spagyria

In a lot of books we read that the Alchemical Path is
a Spiritual Path and that Spagyria not necessary is.
I underline the importance of the understanding of the fact that
“Everything is Spiritual”,
“Spirit is contained in the Matter”. So, it is possible to say
that Alchemy is the Higher aspect of Spagyria, that is
a Practice less Spiritual and more Extractive.

I report the very well known Axiom of  Hermes Trismegistus:

**************************************************************
The Emerald Table of Hermes Trismegistus

True, without error, certain and most true.

That which is above is as that which is below,
and that which is below is as that which is above,
to perform the miracles of the One Thing.

And as all things were from One, by the meditation
of One, so from this One Thing come all things by adaptation.

Its father is the Sun, its mother is the Moon, the wind
carried it in its belly, the nurse thereof is the Earth.

It is the father of all perfection and the
 consummation
of the whole world. Its power
is integral,
If it be turned to Earth.

Thou shalt separate the Earth from the Fire,
the subtle from the coarse, gently and with much ingenuity.

It ascends from Earth to heaven and descends again
to Earth, and receives the power of the superiors and the
inferiors. Thus thou hast the glory of the whole world;
therefore
let all obscurity flee before thee.

This is the strong fortitude of all fortitude, overcoming
every subtle thing and penetrating every solid thing.

Thus the world was created.

Hence are all wonderful adaptations, of which this is
the manner.

Therefore I am called Hermes Trismegistus, having
the three partsof the philosophy of the whole world.
That is finished which I have to say concerning
the operation of the Sun.

Alchemy and Spagyria constitute a very wide field of study and
of practical experimentation of transmutation and of extraction
of the Constituting Principle (Early or Philosophical) in the
Mineral and in the Vegetable Field (sometimes also animal) but
they also represent a field of human action and experimentation,
because, every experience in the various Fields corresponds
to Processes that happen also Esoterically.

So, the Alchemist is mainly an Empiric Philosopher
that observes Mother Nature's Laws and that Acts
also a Practical Experimentation of it.

The Alchemist is a Being that feels the deep need
to understand himself/herself by the understanding of Nature
and wishes to use her Gifts only for a Therapeutic Purposes,
in order to re-establish the Human Balance and also in order
to preserve Nature, at the same time, as he/she understood
and saw that the Human Being does not feel in Balance
when he goes too far from Her and, consequently,
he makes Her unbalanced.
